Parental Involvement

In order to provide the variety of activities that we do for the Scouts, we ask for as much parental involvement as possible.  It is obvious to those of us who have been in Scouting for a while, that the boys who progress the farthest in Scouting are those with the most parental involvement.  We consider all parents to be committee members and are welcome and encouraged to attend the parent meetings usually held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the church.

Some other avenues for parents to become active in the Troop are:

  • Patrol Parents

  • Assistant Scoutmasters

  • Merit Badge Counselors

  • Secretary

  • Troop Outings

  • Troop Meetings

We strongly urge that the families attend at the minimum the “Fall Court of Honor” and the “Green & Gold”.

We continually look for new ideas and suggestions.  Please feel free to contact us at any time that you have questions or comments concerning Troop 252.
