THE MILL POND RENAISSANCE PROJECT HAS BEGUN!

Replacement of the Mill Pond Warming/Skate House roof was one of the first projects addressed.  The Milwaukee County Parks Department completed the task of installing a brand new roof and gutters in September of 2008.

Thank you for supporting the efforts of the Milwaukee County Parks and The Friends of the Mill Pond & Oak Creek Watercourse Inc. at our fund raising events!

Re-roofing project begins 2007

 

Also in 2008 the (2) double doors pictured below on the Mill Pond warming house were painted.  The design was created by FOMP member Marilyn Geiger and approved by the Milw. Co. Parks.    The colors chosen for the doors were dark brown background accented with a Arts & Crafts design of cream, burgundy & dark teal.   The paint was donated by Better Paints & Wallpaper in Cudahy.   The Milwaukee County Parks Dept. provided the labor to paint the doors.
