South Milwaukee High School Boys Baseball

The first game of the year the outcome was not in the SM JV favor. We lost 4-5. David Gompper and David Wojnowski both pitched well. All the runs scored by W A. Central were unearned. Sam Schaus ripped a triple in the losing cause. The second game against Oak Creek was another loss this time by a score of 3-11. The highlights were Justin Braun going 2 for 4. This left our record at 0-2 The JV notched their first victory of the year with a 9-6 victory over WA Hale. After a shanky first inning where he game up 4 runs, David Gompper settled down and pitched a strong 6 innings. He struck out 7 and didn't allow a walk or another run. Dean Lameer came in the 7th to finish off the game. Andy Kozlowski had 2 RBI'S. Justin Braun, Sam Schaus and Jerre Schlax had 2 hits a piece.
