| Computer Room |
| Each K - 5 class allotted a full class
period each week for computers. Volunteers are needed to lay out the
preassigned discs and to be on hand to assist the students should they
need help.
|
| Room Parents |
| Room Parent duties include telephoning for
chaperones for field trips, arranging food donations for special events,
arranging for help during special events or simply to relay special
information to parents. The person serves as the go-between for the
teacher and class parents. Each family is asked to help out in any
way that they can.
An informal gathering is help in September for teachers and room parents to get acquainted and set up guidelines and activities for the school year.

| School Library |
| Blakewood has large, up-to-date
library. The school shares its Librarian with other school in the
district. Volunteers are always welcome to help students with
checking out or renewing their books, assisting students with returning
books to their proper places or helping with any other projects.

| Picture Books for School Hallways |
| Right outside of the office you can find a
picture album with various pictures of the events of our school. As
a visitor you can look through and see the excellence that is taking place
inside of our classrooms. Again this takes someone to update the
album with new pictures, if you enjoy putting together photo albums or
scrap books we need your help.

| Student of the Week Pictures |
| The school sponsors a student of the week
program with one student chosen from each class. Their pictures are
posted in the hallway as a form of recognition. The PTO organizes
these pictures and keeps them up to date. This is a wonderful way
for everyone to see the positive students we have attending our
school. We do need someone to keep up with the pictures.

| Safety Team |
| It will consist of 4 teachers and at least 2
parents. Their main job will be to walk thru the school building
once a quarter to look for items that need to fixed or changed for a safer
school environment. This is a new task forced thought of by Mr.
Cupertino.
