PTO Objective |
| Blakewood has a very active PTO
(Parent/Teacher Organization)
The main goal of our PTO is to help insure the best possible education for our children at Blakewood. This is done through cooperation with the staff at the school in many areas. Probably the most important element of our success is communication. PTO sponsors the cost of busses for field trips, in-house programs, purchasing equipment and materials for the school that are not covered by the school's budget. This website has been designed to inform you of the PTO sponsored activities and the other special days and functions that occur throughout the school year. PTO sponsors several fund raising events during the year, which have been extremely successful over the years. Any specific questions regarding PTO and any events should be directed to any PTO Officer or and Committee Chairperson listed on the Members page. PTO meetings are held in the months of September, November, January, March and May. Reminder notices with date and time are sent home a few days prior to the meeting. Childcare is provided through South Milwaukee Middle School Volunteen Program. |
